Ballwin, MO – Abbey Openshaw had her class go into downward dog in a recent Saturday class while she rambled about Mercury, the month of April, and the power of intention. Students’ arms were visibly shaking while they shared looks of exhaustion and annoyance.
Openshaw meanwhile was saying things like:
“Spring is a time of intention because Mercury is retrograde and we need to align with the planets so we can create impact for our realities”
“Think about your intentions for spring as we move into summer so you can align your heart with Jupiter, the planet of abundance, and then your heart can align with the children, who are pure and innocent.”
Finally, Openshaw said, “Now walk your feet to your hands” although few could at that point so they went into child’s pose, which Openshaw found wonderful since they were listening to their bodies and their bodies’ intentions.
