Why is your name ‘Truth Eagle’?
Because I am like an eagle that only tells the truth.
How are you like an eagle?
The bones of an eagle are hollow, as are mine, and my favorite food is fish, just like an eagle. But I am thinking of becoming a hawk now.
Why a hawk? Why now after so many years of being an eagle?
My mating season takes place at the end of winter or early in the spring, just like hawks. But for now I’m an eagle.
How did you become a healer?
I never ‘became’ a healer in the conventional sense. A healer became me.

When you say ‘entered you’…was that a physical act? How did the spirit get inside you? And did you see it before it entered you?
The lights were out, I couldn’t see anything. I was sleeping. It was the end of winter, but it might as well have been early spring.
Your mating season–
That’s right. And then it went through me. It took a few times, but the spirit eventually got in there. The next day I discovered I possessed a remarkable ability to heal.
Is that also when you became an eagle?
My ears are small holes on either side of my head. They are under my feathers and are not visible unless you look for them.
